The control panel is now ready to activate the sirens and strobe lights should an alarm occur. 10 If a zone that is sealed has triggered after exit time has expired, a number of events will occur. Following is a typical sequence of events. 1. The control panel will activate any audible devices such as sirens, flashing blue strobe light and the communications dialler. 2. The communication dialler will transmit all relevant alarm information via the telephone line alerting the respective persons of the current state of events. 3. The siren timer will commence counting down as soon as an alarm occurs. When the siren run time expires, the siren will automatically reset and be placed into a ready state for the next alarm. 4. Upon your return, the blue strobe light may still be operating to inform you that there has been an alarm. 5.

This memory holds all information during a total power loss and can be changed as many times as required.

The entire programming sequence consists of entering a location number and changing the data as required. Use the following methods to program the system: Codepad Hand Held Programmer Alarm Link Software 1.3 Programming Using a Codepad The system must be disarmed (with no active alarm) to program the system. Two beeps sound and both the STAY and AWAY indicators flash simultaneously, indicating you entered Programming Mode. The codepad indicators display the current data programmed in LOCATION 000 (the first location of the Primary Telephone Number). This steps you to the next location. The data in the next location is displayed. Two beeps sound and the STAY and AWAY indicators go dark. The system is returned to the disarmed state, ready for use. Programming a zero disables all four options. Example If at LOCATION 177 you only want options 1, 2, and 4, add the numbers together and the total is the number to be programmed. Table 4 shows the installer s programming commands. This function eliminates the need to arm each area individually. This function eliminates the need to disarm each area individually. So I've been looking at the Konnected INTERFACE kit to upgrade the system to support some more smarts via HomeAssistant, but need to check a few things. 1. The system has 4 Zone connectors but they support 2 zones each using different resistors 3K3 for one zone and 6K8 for the other zone (see below).

Can the konnected solution support this, would I connect two wires from the single zone connector on the bosch side to two separate zones on the konnected side and adjust each konnected zone to the correct resistance? 2. I'm trying to decode my alarm manuals (see attached) to understand if I can somehow monitor the armed state of the alarm dont really care about activated state as this could be triggered in hA based on armed state and the zones. Ive looked at the system and I can see wires into both Out 1 and Out 2. I believe Out 1 is the siren and Out 2 is for the smoke detector I've attached the two manuals I've been working from to start to understand my system. Did you manage to get any further with this? Bosch 880 system (without monitoring of the specific zones due to the SPLIT ZONINGI have managed to switch aHowever I am now struggling to work out how to monitor theMy old Horn and Strobe noNothing was ever plugged into Output 2 (as I don’t have a wired smoke alarm). However I cant seem to figure out the correct config in the alarmThe Piezo Siren output works perfectly fine, I can see theI’m guessing once I have theI have tried setting OUT1 to the same settings as the RelayI tried changing the polarity to 8 (Normally Low. Going Open) but same problem. Any suggestions on what I need to do, or ways I can troubleshootI have only just ordered my Konnected Interface alarm so will let you know how I get on. Cheers SteveI've got a 862 that has never worked since I've been here and am currently looking at options to upgrade. Konnected seems like quite an elegant solution, so hoping its as easy as the tutorials have indicated, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Cheers Don Did you get that working. My 4 physical zones are being used (Z1 and Z2 for PIRs, Z7 and Z8 for Tamper) and ideally I wouldn't mess with that. Planning on adding my keyswitch to zone 5 or 6, using a different resistor and owuld be great to be able to validate this idea.

As for monitoring the state, I am expecting the polarity setting to be an issue as I'm not sure I understand what it's about. So if you have any word of wisdom there, I'm all hears. I'll update this if and when I get my system up and running. Cheers The key switch to arm and disarm the system works fine. But I couldn’t get it to monitor the zones or status of the system. I actually have decided to replace my whole system with an Arrow Head alarm product with a serial interface that I will use with node-red to monitor the system, or get the ip board and use their mobile app (however I prefer to integrate directly with node-red and HA). I have an old 3G-IP-Module that is connected to my Bosch system which I am thinking of using in our Bach up north to monitor that system it over the internet using emails (which I can again integrate with HA). The Konnected.io product is awesome and their service excellent however in this instance for me I couldn’t get it working with my system and its specific setup. I don’t think the dual zone setup of the Bosch system will let you easily monitor the individual zones.I was really hoping you got it working. Regarding the dual zones, I am really not fussed about being to monitor both separately in Konnected but since the PIRs are plugged in to Z1 and Z2 respectively with nothing else connected, I should be good. Now, I am really hoping I can use a zone as a dual zone to put in my keyswitch, otherwise, I'll have to use one of my tamper switch which would be not great. As for monitoring the arming and trigger states, I really hope I can get this to work. With the number of options available, there's bound to be one that works. I'm really keen to get this working as it would be a great addition to my Smart Home. Anyway, I have to wait for my Konnected to turn up anyway. I managed to power it up, hook it up to the wifi and monitor my two Zones. So far so good. Now running into issues trying to get the monitoring state working.

Whatever I do, I can't get the Light on the Konnected to show up for that Zone where I plugged my programmable output. No light at all. Owen, did you manage to get some light there? Double thumbs up for Konnected Interface. Happy to anser any question if someone else is struggling with such install. Cheers I have tried different settings for events and polarity. Can you please give me an idea of what you did for programming and wiring. Thanks, Adam I'll check tonight and give you the values I used for the programming. Cheers I've tried many different values but I am unsure of event type, polarity etc. Would be keen to see what you set yours to. Users can run diagnostics, arm systems, and bypass zones with an off-site com puter. Thisreduces service visits to a site and provides quickcustomer service, saving time and money. Remoteprogramming is useful for country locations where acontrol panel might be located hundreds of kilometers(miles) from an office.Three Arming ModesUsers can arm the system using one of three modes:AWAY Mode: Arms the entire system.STAY Mode 1: Arms most zones. Does not arm zonesprogrammed as isolated (installer).STAY Mode 2: Arms most zones. Does not arm zonesprogrammed as isolated (Master Code holder).Dual-tone Multi-frequency (DTMF) TelephoneRemote ArmingUsers can arm the system from any remote locationusing a DTMF telephone. Once a com munication link isestablished between a DTMF telephone and thesystem, users can operate the system using thetelephone in the same way as a codepad.Day AlarmDay alarm monitors a group of zones when the systemis disarmed. For example, the front door of a shop hasa pressure mat or electronic beam that customers turnon as they enter or exit. The codepad beeps each timethe mat or beam turns on.Duress AlarmA codepad duress alarm can work as a silent hold-upalarm and is useful when the system reports to amonitoring station or pocket pager.Thank you, for helping us keep this platform clean.

The editors will have a look at it as soon as possible. Up to eight radio user codes (User Codes 9 to 16) can be programmed to operate the system. Two beeps are heard and the STAY and AWAY indicators extinguish. To add or change other radio remote user codes, repeat this procedure as many times as required Thanks! Im not sure if this is where I should be asking a question in here as im new to whirlpool, so forgive me if im in the wrong place. Regards Jeff.
